What we collect
When you contact us, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, company and anything you choose to share about your business or project.
To protect the contact form from spam, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. It checks signals such as your IP address and browser details to tell people apart from automated programs.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the website is used. It doesn't use cookies. It records things like the pages viewed, the site that linked to us, your browser and device type and your country, and we only see these as totals, not as information about you.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your inquiry and set up a consult. If we work together, we also use it to manage the project.
We don't sell your information, and we won't add you to a mailing list without your permission.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with service providers that help us run this website and handle email, and only as needed for those purposes:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and provides the spam protection and analytics described above
- Postmark, which sends the emails from our contact form: your inquiry to us, and a confirmation to you
- Google Workspace, which hosts our info@solitonsoftware.com inbox, where we receive and keep inquiries
We'll also share your information if the law requires us to.
Where it's stored
Our service providers may store and process your information outside Canada, including in the United States. Postmark stores the emails it sends in the United States, and Cloudflare may handle your visit in a data centre close to you.
Information stored outside Canada is subject to the laws of the country where it's held, and may be accessed by that country's courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it to respond and follow up. If we don't end up working together, we delete it within 12 months.
Postmark keeps copies of the emails it sends for 45 days, then deletes them.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time.
